Hearing Screening for Kids

Children who aren’t hearing well miss out on information in their environment and fall behind in school. Since it isn’t always possible for a young child to explain what they can or can’t hear, a hearing screening can be a valuable resource. Hearing screening is a brief test to determine if a child is hearing as well as he/she could be and whether examination by a hearing specialist is required. Testing is done by measuring the ability of sound to travel through the hearing nerves to the brain. Hearing screening typically takes about 10 minutes and involves a short game with your child.
